Can’t Get to the Treadmill?

There are many reasons for not being able to jump onto the elliptical or treadmill. Sometimes we’re a little tight on cash and can not afford one or just simply you don’t have enough time at the end of the day. No matter what the situation is I promise you there are still things that you can do to work towards your fitness goals.

Need to work on your Cardio?

All cardio is is trying to get your heart rate up and pumping. So in order to do so you’ll need to  get up and move around to accomplish the higher heart rate.

Here are a few things that you could:

WORKOUT ONE

  • 30 Jumping Jacks
  • 40 Jump Rope
  • 30 High Knees
  • 30 SECOND BREAK
  • 30 Butt Kickers
  • 5 Burpees
  • 30 seconds Jog in place
  • 30 SECOND BREAK
  • 10 Squats
  • 30 Butt Kickers
  • 30 Jumping Jacks

Level 1- Run through twice (60 second break before restarting sequence)

Level 2- Run through four times (60 second break before restarting sequence)

Level 3- Run through six times (60 second break before restarting sequence)

WORKOUT TWO

  • 30 Mountian Climbers
  • 10 Burpees
  • 30 second Jog in place
  • 30 SECOND BREAK
  • 40 High knees
  • 30 Butt kickers
  • 40 Jumping Jacks
  • 30 SECOND BREAK
  • 10 Jump Squats
  • 20 High Knees
  • 30 second Jog in place

Level 1- Run through twice (60 second break before restarting sequence)

Level 2- Run through four times (60 second break before restarting sequence)

Level 3- Run through six times (60 second break before restarting sequence)

As you can see you can create simple easy workouts that last as long or as short as you’d like. For the most part you use that same 6-9 exercises (depending on your fitness abilities) to get that heart rate pumping. Just be sure to take a break every 1-4 exercises (again depending on your fitness abilities) so that way you will not over exert yourself and cause harm or an injury.

With any physical fitness you must make sure to take things slow and steady to have correct forms and stability.

So as you can see I only gave you 2 examples of things that you can do when you’re in a cardio pinch. No it’s not the same as using an elliptical or treadmill but when you can’t leave the house or just don’t have a gym to go to, workouts like these ones are perfect. Keep maintaining the healthy lifestyle!
